My company recently added more than fifty thousand square feet to one of our production facilities in Tyler, Texas. Although we manufacture building products, we certainly are not construction experts. In the early planning stages for the addition, we had the good fortune to come in contact with Dave Sherman. At first, we contracted Dave to research some building code compliance issues, but we soon became aware that he had broad expertise in every phase of construction and project management.
We expanded Dave’s roll to be our agent in managing the project from beginning to end. He dealt directly with the prime and subcontractors. He made a point to be involved in all phases of the project, from the site preparation, foundation, erection, plumbing and electrical… insuring best building practices were followed. Dave held the contractors to schedules, monitored billings for accuracy and negotiated discrepancies. He even walked through some code variation approvals with City Officials.

Our organization; Pine Cove Inc, has worked with Dave Sherman over the past four years involving one of our major construction projects. We built a new camp in the Columbus Texas area that started out on paper as a $10,000,000 project. Dave knew that the budget was $6,000,000 and worked diligently to build the camp on time and under the $6,000,000 target.
We know Dave to be highly competent in regards to all phases of construction management and end product results. His modeling and pricing predictions proved to be the most reliable and accurate at the end of the day. He demonstrated appropriate tenacity when dealing with contractors and some of the subs that were difficult to deal with.
